Gridiron ace with an appetite for success
THERE’S no question that green and gold looks good on local American football player Houssayn Bazzi, of Pennant Hills.
Bazzi, who is a star of local “gridiron” club the North Western Predators, is now representing Australia on a European tour.
The Outback, as our national team is known, defeated the UK 20-3 in England on Tuesday night, Sydney time - an excellent achievement against a team ranked 12th in the world.
“Playing for your country is massive,” Bazzi told the Advocate from the team’s base in England, ahead of tonight’s match against Europe’s American football powerhouse, Sweden.
Since joining the sport in 2006, Bazzi has had his fair share of success.
