USA Boxing weight classes
Would the reduction in USA Boxing weight classesdestroy the whole idea of competition? Well from what Manny Pacquiao has displayed in recent fights against much bigger and much taller opponents like Antonio Margarito and Shane Mosley, the competition should still be there.
People understand that boxing is a money game. Everything needs to be paid for and everything has to be sold. But having more divisions on the USA Boxing weight classes will not do this. In fact, it might just do otherwise. You look at fight cards and you see so much irrelevance in the matches below the main event. How is it possible that you have to endure watching them in the first place? With all due respect to all the other USA Boxing weight classes, people still come to see the best.
